External content

Sample album »

Include a webpage, a YouTube (Vimeo, TED) video or practically any HTML code into your album. First just add a JPG the usual way (e.g. the screenshot), then add the link or the embed code through Turtle's External content box in Edit mode.

Turtle's External content box

1 Embed an external HTML page simply add its URL in the External link, Embed or HTML code box, e.g. http://mysite.com/somepage.html. Turtle will create an IFRAME element to embed the page sized according to the Box size setting below.

2 If you want to embed a YouTube or Vimeo video go to its original page and look for the Embed code. On YouTube and Vimeo this is under Share » Embed, on TED look for the ··· » Embed. Choose the proper size before you copy/paste the code.

Turtle will try to figure out the proper window size by looking into the pasted code.

Please note, Turtle skin cannot control external videos (and any embedded page by the way), therefore when you move back and forth the index page, the videos will not stop. They will stop however, when you move over to the next image, because the IFRAME containing them is deleted.

3 You can also add any valid HTML code here – you can even use jAlbum's variables.

In case of EMBED or IFRAME container elements Turtle will figure out the window size by searching the widht="NNN" and height="NNN" attributes, if found.
